The 10 Minute Tidy is exactly what it says. Set a timer for 10 minutes and tidy up. I find its a great little trick when I really can't be bothered doing anything but I know I need to. It gives me the push I need to begin, usually I find that when the 10 minutes is up I have the desire to keep going for a bit longer and tackle another task or two like giving the surfaces a dust.
My partner gets involved too and we have our set tasks we do each time so technically it's 20 minutes of tidying, and since we only have small place the 10 minute tidy is enough to get our place spick and span.
As someone who likes to get all my chores and admin done before I relax I often do it the morning of my day off or before I leave the house so I know I'm coming back to a nice clean home.
Obviously you can choose whatever time limit you desire, depending on the jobs or how thoroughly you'd like tasks completed.
This can also be great trick when you are feeling overwhelmed! Rather than looking to trying to tackle the whole chore, setting the timer and only tidying for the allotted time is achievable and gives you that feeling of accomplishment.
